Kativik Ilisarniliriniq is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Payroll, the position of Assistant Director, Payroll Services specifically includes the performance of duties related to the administration and management of payroll, remuneration and benefits programs for the Board's staff, in accordance with regulations, collective agreements and agreements in effect

Main responsibilities
• Produce payroll (over 1,000 employees);
• Supervise all stages of the full payroll cycle according to established schedules;
• Ensure the implementation of payroll administrative procedures;
• Perform and manage year-end activities (T4/Relevι 1, summary, etc.) as well as year opening activities (setting up calendars, updating earnings and deduction codes, etc.);
• Ensure the management of group insurance and pension funds (CARRA);
• Participate in remuneration communication plans and initiatives and in policy and program development;
• Prepare analyses and reports on employee remuneration, attendance and leave;
• Intervene with GRICS and PERCOS for all questions, configurations or modifications of the data and parameters of these systems;
• Supervise and evaluate the staff under his or her authority;
• Provide advice and expertise to promote optimal payroll management.
• Participate in the planning and preparation of the department annual budget;
• Perform any other compatible duties as required by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate university degree in an appropriate field of study leading to a minimum three-year university degree program or holding a position of senior executive or senior staff in a school board whose minimum qualifications require holding a first cycle university degree.

The School Board may, at its discretion, disregard the qualifications if it considers the application of a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA) to be adequate and the person agrees to follow a training program.

REQUIREMENTS:
6 years of relevant experience;
Mastery of at least 2 of the 3 working languages of the School Board (Inuktitut, French, English);
Experience in managing a computerized payroll system;
Knowledge of the Payroll and HRM system of GRICS and MOZAΟK;
Knowledge of Outlook software.

SALARY AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Class 9 - annual salary between $ 87,669 to $ 116,208 depending on qualifications and experience. Other conditions of employment to be determined in accordance with the regulation concerning certain working conditions of KSB executives such as:

• 25 days of annual vacation
• Up to 10 recuperation days
• 2 weeks of vacation during Holiday season
• Summer schedule
