The Academy For Gifted Children – P.A.C.E. is a fully accredited, non-denominational, co-educational private day school devoted entirely to intellectually gifted students in grades 1-12. Through a differentiated curriculum built on greater depth and breadth of instruction our primary goal is to enhance the abilities of our students, while simultaneously addressing their social and emotional needs. P.A.C.E. is based on the premise that gifted children need high-powered learning experiences to challenge their minds and ensure intellectual growth and achievement.

P.A.C.E. is seeking specialist for September in the following academic disciplines: English

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Arts
• Junior/Intermediate Division (English; Social Studies)
• 2 years of classroom teaching experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of and ability to teach primary and elementary math.
• Excellent oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
• Computer literacy: proficient and knowledgeable with Word processors, spreadsheets, Email, Internet.
• Creative, innovative, and positive approach to teaching.
• Knowledge of Growing Success strongly encouraged.
• Understands the needs of students and goes beyond the call of duty.
• Excellent classroom management, organization and planning skills.
• Thrives in a positive team environment and easily adapts to new things.
• Communicates with parents, students, and co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner.
• Confident solving problems and providing solutions when issues arise.
• Willing to contribute to school related events, after school activities, and field trips
• Works with a high standard of integrity and punctuality.
