The Sahtu Divisional Education Council is seeking an experienced Grade 2-3-4 teacher for the 2018/19 school year.
The candidates must have or be completing a Bachelor of Education Degree and be eligible for a Northwest Territories Teaching Certificate.
The following criteria will be important considerations in the hiring process:
-Strong background in Elementary Education and teaching in the core subject areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies
- Training in Literacy and Numeracy, especially Fountas & Pinnell Reading Assessments and Math Makes Sense.
-Excellent classroom management skills
-Knowledge of, or commitment to become knowledgeable of the prescribed NT Curricula in related areas
-Understanding of and experience in the integration of technology into classroom instruction
- Strong collaboration skills are sought as teachers work together to implement classroom instruction.
The candidate should embrace strong connections with community and be open to engaging fully in the rich cultural and extra-curricular life of the school.

Colville Lake School (JK-12) - Colville Lake
Teacher (1.0 TERM) - Start date: August 17, 2018; End date: June 20, 2019
Salary: dependent on qualifications - ranges from $79,386-$128,166 per annum, plus a very attractive benefits package including a Northern Living Allowance of approximately $28,615, and relocation expenses.
