Blyth Academy is a growing private school with campuses in Yorkville, Thornhill, Lawrence Park, Port Credit, Burlington, Whitby, Barrie, Ottawa and London offering a full-day program as well as evening, weekend and summer programs.

We are seeking highly qualified, dynamic I/S Level Math teachers to teach Grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 Mathematics courses, at our Lawrence Park Campus.

Various positions for teaching classes available day, evening or weekend.


MDM4U –Starting ASAP -Mon, Tues, or Thurs (2 of those 3 nights) after school hours during the week.

MCV4U –Starting ASAP -Mon to Thurs after 4pm (any 2 of those evenings).

MHF4U –Starting ASAP -Mon-Fri after school 4pm-6pm availability as well as Saturdays.

MHF4U –Starting ASAP -Mon and Wed 4:30pm-8pm availability (2 hours each evening in that window). Saturday 3 hours between 10am and 3pm.

MCR3U –Starting ASAP -Tues/Thurs 4:15pm-6:30pm and occasional weekends. Saturday available 11am-4pm.

MHF4U –Starting ASAP -Any two days per week starting 10am-1pm but some flexibility on timing. Calculus and Vectors Course to follow...

MDM4U –Starting ASAP -Full days 9am to 3pm, Mon to Fri.

Job Description: teach Ontario Secondary School Math curriculum at a high level
• Ensure students are provided with appropriate materials to prepare for the credit course
• Provide students with various evaluation opportunities for success
• Demonstrate an engaging teaching style for a small-class-size environment
• Maintain frequent and effective communication with students, parents and administration

• Ontario College of Teachers (or equivalent) certification
• Outstanding expertise in specified subject area(s)
• Innovative curriculum delivery
• Ability to provide effective experiential learning
• Experience working with students in small classes would be an asset
• Evidence of cooperative initiatives
